ORIGIN
Initially Sri Bhagawat Ramanuja Siddhanta Prachar Sabha, commenced its spiritual activities
with the Blessings of our Patron Saints, Sri Vanamamalai H H Sri Kalian Ramanuja Jeer Swamigal and Sri Tirupathi – H H Periya Kelviappan & H H Siriya Kelviappan Jeer Swamigal in 1997, under the leadership of eminent Srivaishnavas of Mumbai, like Sri S Pattabhiraman, Sri S Sadagopan, Sri K S V Chari, Late Sri R Sadagopan, Late Sri P D Ramakrishnan, Sri P Sundararajan, Sri R Raghavan and Late Sri K Rajagopal . Sabha continued its activities informally for a few years, during which period, Sabha played a significant role in establishing Bhagawat Ramanujar sannidhi in the premises of Sri Balaji Mandir, Nerul. In 2003, Sabha was registered under Societies Registration Act and Bombay Public Trusts Act, as a Charitable Trust.

Arranges regular spiritual lectures and Satsang

Celebrates Thirunakshatrams of Azhwars and Acharyas

Extend receptions to H H Jeer Swamigals and Achariyans during their Vijay Yatra to Mumbai

Publishes religious books, spiritual calendar, periodical Newsletters etc.

Condcts periodical Homams like Sudarshana Homam

Helps the needy people, coordinating with other social organisations

Conducts classes in Vedas and Divyaprabandham, devotional music etc. to interested persons

Participates in Utsavams in various temples in Mumbai
A major highlight of its activities over the years, has been the grand celebration of Sri Bhagawat Ramanujar’s 1000th year celebrations (2016-2017) with monthly cultural programs by children and elders crowned by a memorable 4.5 hour program,consisting of songs, dance, drama, bhajan, conversations etc on Bhagawat Ramanujar, in the midst of over 1300 Asthikas and anchored and conducted by none other than Sri U Ve Velukkudi Krishnan Swami.
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES OF THE SABHA

The propagation of Sri Bhagwat Ramanujacharya's and Sri Manavaala Mamunigal philosophy i.e Service to humanity is service to God'

To uplift the economically weak and downtrodden sections of society.

Acquisition of knowledge consummating in the highest form.

To establish centres for social upliftment and study of Sri Ramanuja's Vishistadwaitha philosophy and also to promote research, investigations, and train persons in the interest and furtherance of the objectives of the Sabha.

To create endowment for or otherwise to institute scholarships,prizes and awards and to provide assistance to publish magazines, books. equipment's. and other necessary help to the needy and meritorious.

To undertake other beneficial activities and to do all other including last rituals obsuites as are incidental or conducive to the achievement of the above objects,separately or in collaboration with other institutions having their objects similar to the Sabha.

To provide medical aid and facilities including ambulance service to the poor and needy.

To provide financial assistance to students who cannot afford to have education to pursue their studies.

to alter,extorted or abridge the aims and objects of the sabha or any other provision or to amalgamate the sabha either wholly or partially with any other sabha or sabhas on the recommendation of the managing committee as prescribed in section 12 of the societies Registration Act.
